Hayle Outdoor Bathing Place 1936–39

Hayle Lido was constructed for swimmers in one of the tidal pools adjacent to the town on a site that is soon to be redeveloped (behind Jewson’s on Carnsew Road) It opened in 1936 and closed with the deceleration of the Second World War. Another Lido opened in the 1970’s but is now under threat, it’s thought that it may not reopen this year.
