9 Year Old Lifesaver

A 9-year-old boy saved the life of his little 2-year-old sister using CPR. Tristin Saghin pulled his sister from the water of his grandmothers swimming pool where she had been submerged for about two minutes. The little girl was not breathing and lay unconscious after the rescue. The boy then went into action with CPR that he had learned from a film he had watched over and over on television. Although still in hospital the toddler is doing well.

Their was a time when all young boys aspired to be life savers. The Boy Scout movement taught them both how to swim and how to rescue a drowning person and resuscitate them. Tristin Saghin is a shining example of what can be done when a child knows how to do it. Education saves lives. Watch the video…
